VersionPress.com Terms of Service

VersionPress.com is currently not launched, these Terms of Service apply to pre-orders made during May–September 2017.

You are agreeing to these Terms of Service when you purchase one or more 10-site packages as part of the pre-orders. The agreement is between you and VersionPress s.r.o., a company organized and existing under the laws of the Czech Republic, EU, ID No.: 04156528, registered with the Commercial Register maintained by the District Court in Hradec Kralove, file no. 35904 C.

About VersionPress.com

VersionPress.com is a managed WordPress hosting. It provides powerful workflows, developer friendliness and fully hosted experience.

Please note that VersionPress.com is different from VersionPress, the open-source project. These terms govern only the VersionPress.com platform, not the open-source project.

Pre-order details

For a limited time between May and September 2017, the service is available for pre-order under these terms:

  • The service can be pre-ordered in packages of 10 sites.
  • One 10-site package covers a year of hosting on VersionPress.com for up to 10 sites.
  • Multiple packages can be purchased by one person, with the limit of 5 packages per person (maximum of 50 sites in total).
  • The consumption of service starts with the first site deployed to VersionPress.com.
  • A site must adhere to certain requirements as defined below. We reserve the right to review each site migrated to VersionPress.com for general compatibility.
  • We generally don't offer refunds on the pre-order deals, please contact us at hello@versionpress.com if you have any questions.

Requirements on hosted sites

Sites hosted on VersionPress.com must currently fit the following:

  • Single-site installation only – no multisite / network installations yet.
  • Soft limit* of 10,000 database rows.
  • Soft limit* of 50k visits a month.
  • HTTPS as the protocol. We provide certificates for free and help with migration from plain HTTP.
  • PHP 7 compatibility. We don't offer older PHP versions.
  • nginx runs the sites, complex Apache redirection rules are not supported.
  • E-shops and other complex WordPress sites will be evaluated on a case by case basis; we encourage simpler presentational sites to start with.
  • Backup and caching plugins might be removed as part of the migration. Some duplicate or interfere with parts of the VersionPress.com infrastructure.
  • No violent, threatening or sexual content or activity is allowed on the sites.

*) Soft limit means that we'll not cut the service if the limit is exceeded, however, we monitor such cases and will contact you in such case.

Service details

  • VersionPress.com provides a hosting service. It utilizes Amazon AWS infrastructure to do so and you give us permission to host your sites on this trusted 3rd party provider.
  • Where appropriate, we use other 3rd party service providers, for example, for transactional emails, off-site backup, etc. You give us permission to use such trusted 3rd party providers.
  • Backups are taken at least daily and kept for at least a month.

We deal with refunds on a case-by-case basis, please contact us at billing@versionpress.com if you have any questions.

Warranty

VersionPress.com warrants that services under this agreement will be performed in a professional, workmanlike manner, consistent with industry standards.

Except for the limited warranty above, VersionPress.com makes no warranties hereunder and disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Privacy policy

During the checkout process and for the purposes of running the service, we collect some information about you like your email address, country of residence etc. We collect all this solely for the purpose of delivering the service as described above and never share it with anyone. The only exception is service providers that we use to host the websites, do the backups, process payments, etc. You give us permission to do that, and this permission extends to trusted service providers that we work with.

This agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, EU.
