Some features of VersionPress.com are powered by a Git-based technology that was working great for smaller sites but turned out to be problematic for more complex ones. As we need to maintain a predictable level of service and support for all sites hosted on VersionPress.com, we have decided to disable push / pull between environments and deprecate but keep running the other related features like comparing environments, working with saved states or using local workflows.

What this means for you:

• The push / pull functionality can be replaced with traditional methods like import / export, using Duplicator, WP Migrate DB or similar tools.
• The other features are left running but without any guarantees – it depends on a particular site whether they will work or not.
• All the hosting features are unaffected by this and continue to work reliably.
